Setup Guide

If you have not yet installed the Woo Payments with PayLeap plugin you may want to take a look at our install guide.  Once you are done with that you will be ready for setup.

Setting up the WooCommerce Payments with PayLeap plugin is quick and easy.  Just follow these steps and you will be up-and-running in no time!

Setup Steps

1. Navigate to WooCommerce -> Settings

2. Click the Checkout tab.

3. Click on the PayLeap link to enter the settings panel.

4. Set Each option according to your needs.

Enable PayLeap

Check the box to enable the PayLeap payment gateway for WooCommerce.

NOTE:  For live transactions you will need an SSL certificate installed on your website before the PayLeap payment gateway will be displayed during checkout.

Title
This controls the label that the user will see for this payment option during checkout in WooCommerce.

Change the title setting to display any value you want during checkout.

Description

This controls the description the user will see for this payment option during checkout.

NOTE:  Not all themes make use of this value.

API Username and Transaction Key

You will need to copy / paste your API username and transaction key from your PayLeap merchant account into the plugin settings.

  1. Click the “merchant interface” link and then log in to your PayLeap merchant account.
  2. Under Preferences, click the Create Transaction Key link.
  3. Copy the API Login ID and paste it into the API Username field in the plugin settings.
  4. Under the “Create New Transaction Key” section, click the Submit button.
  5. Copy and paste the API transaction key into the API Transaction Key field in the plugin settings.

Test Mode

Check the box to enable test mode, which allows you to process transactions using a PayLeap test account and test credit card numbers.

NOTE:  You do not need an SSL installed on the site to run transactions in Test Mode, but you will need an SSL once you disable test mode.

Test API Username and Transaction Key

You will need to copy / paste your API username and transaction key from your PayLeap test merchant account into the plugin settings.

  1. Click the “merchant interface” link and then log in to your PayLeap merchant account.
  2. Under Preferences, click the Create Transaction Key link.
  3. Copy the API Login ID and paste it into the API Username field in the plugin settings.
  4. Under the “Create New Transaction Key” section, click the Submit button.
  5. Copy and paste the API transaction key into the API Transaction Key field in the plugin settings.

Enable Logging

Check this box to enable API logs.  These logs are saved to the WooCommerce logs folder and can be useful when troubleshooting issues.
